GreenGrounds is a partnership between machinery distributor Reesink Turfcare and Bio-Circle, the sustainable
surface technology system manufacturer, formed to solve the problem of the general misunderstanding that
surrounds starting an achievable and effective sustainability project.
There’s no consensus on what effective sustainable measures are and clubs and businesses don’t follow the
same sustainability guidelines. Reesink and Bio-Circle are hoping to change that. Move things on from being a

This is a concerted effort and we’re proud to be the first to stand up and say we will support and try help everyone make a start.

Washing away problems, literally
Many venues and clubs routinely wash their machinery and while this is a necessary task it is terribly wasteful of huge volumes of water. But what if there was a way to wash down while using minimal water? Well, there is! Research sustainable machines and parts washing products and discover how to put an immediate stop to water waste.
It’s time to pipe up about cables
Did you know, it’s now possible to irrigate with no cabling at all? Thanks to technology and innovation, WiFi and Bluetooth control systems can now talk to decoders and sprinklers without the need for miles of plastic and rubber cables. Admittedly, it’s not a quick fix but it is one to consider when the time comes to upgrade.
Put your trust in the battery
When it’s time for new machines, your due diligence process should surely consider electric-powered or hybrid machinery. The upfront cost is coming down and there are long-term savings to be made. Plus, it makes life out on the machines cleaner, quieter and more comfortable. It’s a win-win.
