It's hugely important for us to work closely with the AEA, sharing knowledge and industry insights, helping the business deliver products and solutions that the agricultural and turf industries need.

Reesink is a member and sponsor of the annual Agricultural Engineers Association conference.

Attending this event is important because it gives us a good opportunity to catch up on the latest market information, expert technical advice and industry related training from some of the best in the industry.

We appreciate how in today’s world of Brexit, changing trade and national policy, us keeping up to date with all that is going on is important for the service we provide our customers.

We are very proud to sponsor a table and award each year and commend the most exciting and progressive landscaping projects in the UK. There’s so much talent in this sector and so many hugely impressive projects completed each year and the event allows us to absorb all the creativity and come away inspired about its future.

We’ve been proud to sponsor a table and award at the annual BALI National Landscape Awards for over a decade.

The National Landscape Awards are the largest landscaping awards in Europe and provide the industry with a platform on which to showcase and promote successful landscapers and landscape suppliers.

Just as important to us as supporting the individuals working in the landscaping industry is supporting successful businesses and their projects. The National Landscape Awards allows us to celebrate the achievements of those committed to creating landscaping excellence. As a distributor of Toro Grounds machinery and Otterbine pond and lake aeration systems, both of which are instrumental in helping UK’s talented landscaping workforce bring their visions to reality, this is a welcome way for us to honour and recognise the skills it takes to bring these innovative projects to fruition.

An experience above and beyond anything I could have imagined.

James Gaskell Deputy Head Greenkeeper, Ripon City Golf Club

The winners' roster shows that the awards has been a veritable ‘who’s who’ of greenkeeping with so many winners and finalists going on to stellar careers.

Jim Croxton, chief executive officer - BIGGA

We’ve been privileged to work closely with BIGGA since 1989 on the Toro Student Greenkeeper of the Year Awards.

In 1989, Toro and its UK distributor Lely (now Reesink) came up with the idea for the Toro Student Greenkeeper of the Year Award. With a focus on education it seemed logical to partner with the best in the business for that and the British and International Golf Greenkeepers Association (BIGGA) came on board. It has been a tremendously successful relationship between the three brands, lasting 34 years.

A highlight in the greenkeeping calendar, the Awards were expanded to include a Young category in 2016 and provide the opportunity for the UK’s course managers and lecturers to recognise their brightest employees or students by nominating them. Winning provides educational, international, all-expenses-paid prizes for the winners, runners-up and nominators.

Reesink has been fantastic support to the Board over the last three years and I’m so pleased it is willing to commit long term. Without this help the YBD would not be able to achieve its aims and objectives.

Jessica Mayho, YBD chair

We’re delighted to sponsor the Association’s Young Board of Directors, #Groundsweek and sponsor a table and award at the GMA Industry Awards.

Young Board of Directors (YBD)

It’s currently made up of 10 directors, who are all aged under 28 who selflessly give up their time to support initiatives such as the Schools Into Stadia events and and 'Get into Grounds' strategy which encourages 14-16-year-old school leavers and young people to consider a career in groundsmanship.

Most members entered the industry by volunteering at a local sports club and have progressively learned the skills and gained the experience they need to pursue and rewarding career in groundsmanship. You can learn more about those on the Board here in a series of Q&As we’ve done.
