Being part of the finals of the Toro Young Student Awards is a massive deal to me. It feels amazing to be part of such a prestigious awards programme with a great history.

It proves that hard work pays off and gives me the opportunity to learn and connect with others. It feels a little daunting at such a young age, but I’m trusting my knowledge and determination to get me through the rest of the process.

The process, from the application to the interviews, went smoothly. Sometimes you think, “It won’t happen to me,” but this is proof you never know what could happen or what opportunities may arise if you just put yourself out there.
