I am incredibly honoured and grateful to have been selected as a finalist for a second consecutive year. Having experienced the competition last year, I knew the standard would be exceptionally high, which made receiving the news even more rewarding.

Going into the interview process this year, I felt more nervous than I did previously. As a returning finalist, I’ve placed a higher expectation on myself, but I was keen to demonstrate how much I have developed over the past 12 months. One key piece of feedback from last year was that I lacked experience. I’ve used this to focus my learning and expand my knowledge.

The interview was challenging but hugely enjoyable, providing an excellent opportunity to reflect on my experiences, discuss my passion for greenkeeping, and showcase the knowledge and skills I continue to build on!
