Toro beats the competition for a fourth time at Bridgnorth Golf Club
Background
At the end of the club’s third renewal agreement with Toro, Head Greenkeeper Martin Jones chose to consider all the options for its next five year lease deal to ensure the best possible machinery for the parkland golf course situated alongside the River Severn.
Brief
Martin briefed numerous companies in a competitive tender process including full-fleet demonstrations. Top of the list was machine quality, service and improvement to the course.
Results
Despite competitive offers from other brands, Bridgnorth Golf Club signed its fourth renewal agreement with Toro because “nothing matched up” says Martin. “The quality of Toro machines is second to none and every single machine does exactly what it says on the tin. That’s why we’ve renewed like for like as well as purchasing a couple machines from our previous fleet.”
The new fleet consists of a Greensmaster TriFlex 3400, Reelmaster 5610, Groundsmaster 4000-D, Groundmaster 3500-D and Reelmaster 3100-D alongside a purchased Workman HDX-D and Greensmaster 3250-D. Martin praised the machines for their time saving features and the outstanding standard of cut.”
Conclusion
The reasons for signing again were down to the fact that in the last five years, Martin could count on one hand the number of issues they’d had – that’s an incredible track record that’s hard to beat.
Martin credits the service from local dealer Oakley’s Groundcare and Reesink Turfcare as largely influencing the decision to renew for a fourth time.
