Clacton-on-Sea trusts Toro

Background

When Clacton-on-Sea Golf Club’s fleet needed replacing in 2012, two things combined to see Toro welcomed to the club: a new Reesink area representative and organising demonstrations for the machines they were interested in.

Brief

Course Manager Alan Smith was in the market to replace competitor machines. He was looking primarily for performance, durability, and a sharp cut. He specifically wanted a dedicated sales rep and the availability of machines to test and consider.

Results

When Alan met Reesink’s Richard Freeman things moved quickly. Alan says: “Richard helped us decide which machines to invest in. I went with my team of four who all got a chance to try out machines which meant I could take their opinions on board too.”

The results were instantaneous. When Alan saw the Reelmaster 3575, he was so impressed he ordered one straightaway.

Alan places great importance on always being able to rely on Toro distributor Reesink Turfcare and Richard for support and has been so impressed with Toro, he has expanded the fleet regularly ever since.

Conclusion

Within four years Clacton-on-Sea Golf Club went from not owning a single Toro machine to having a 90 percent Toro red shed. It is thanks to the performance and durability of Toro that Alan says: “One day we hope to have a 100 percent Toro shed!”

We chose Toro machines because everything about them is better: the quality of cut, longevity and reliability.
