Who should attend: Anyone with limited experience operating ride-on mowing equipment. These courses are aimed at new starters, including landscape contractors, greenkeepers, farmers and operators from local authorities.

Course objectives: This is practical training and assessment in the use of mower operations, showing that the operator can manoeuvre the mower skillfully and safely. The test includes pre-use checks and maintenance; identification of controls and instrument panela and operating the machine in line with the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER)

Who should attend: This is developed for dedicated workshop mechanics repairing and servicing their own groundscare machinery and for anyone with good understanding of mechanical principles.

Course objectives: Troubleshooting, routine servicing and maintenance of Toro groundscare machinery. Principles and factors that affect clip, unit configuration and after-cut appearance and how to use the handheld diagnostic systems Level 1 electrics with component testing, Level 1 hydraulics and engine units.

Course objectives: Tractors are very versatile vehicles with a wide variety of uses. The ever-wider range of types and attachments now available makes them even more versatile and effective tools. Learning to perform routine maintenance to the standard of the manufacturers’ instruction manual to ensure the tractor is in a safe road-going state.

Who should attend: These courses are nationally recognised qualifications for landscape contractors, greenkeepers, local authorities and farmers seeking to gain accreditation in safe use of pesticide applications.

Course objectives: To understand legislation when storing and applying chemicals safely and the use of pesticides while being governed by the Food and Environment Protection Act 1985 (FEPA), the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER) and the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 1999 (COSHH).

Course fee: PA1 and PA2 plus assessment £280 per person + VAT
PA2 only plus assessment £160 per person + VAT
PA6 only plus assessment £160 per person + VAT
