The final whistle... It’s a Reesink triple at Leeds United for Toro machinery, Toro irrigation and TYM tractors. All have proven themselves at either Elland Road Stadium or Thorp Arch training ground and as a result Kiel Barrett, head groundsman, has reinvested to bring the quality he has witnessed from each to benefit both venues. Toro machinery has been in use at both venues in recent years and after noticing a “big improvement”, Kiel has invested in three Reelmaster 3100-D machines for Thorp Arch. The Toro Company is celebrating its centennial milestone serving the golf industry in 2019. And the biggest reason for marking the occasion is to say thank you! Grant Young, general manager of Toro’s Commercial Business, says: “We wouldn’t be here without the Toro customers across the globe who put their faith and trust in our products every day. As we celebrate a century in the golf industry, we simply want to say thank you to our customers and channel partners.” Reesink Turfcare, or Lely Turfcare as it was, has been part of that journey for almost half that time. David Cole, managing director, says: “A mutual trust has developed between our customers, us as distributor and Toro which can be truly viewed as a partnership. We’re extremely proud to have represented Toro and its product values for so many years and also thank our UK golf customers for their long-standing loyalty, confidence and trust.” MORE MACHINES, SAME BUDGET Reesink has a host of finance options available for customers on all its brands. There’s the option of lease purchase, finance lease or operating lease on Toro machinery, and plans available for Toro irrigation, Otterbine and TYM tractors, too. Our competitive flexible packages get you more market-leading equipment for the same budget, now. TIS THE SEASON... FOR SHOWS! As one of the industry’s biggest exhibitors at SALTEX and BTME, show preparation starts early for Reesink who’s taking Toro grounds machines and TYM tractors to SALTEX; Toro turf machinery and irrigation, TYM tractors and Otterbine lake and pond aerators to BTME, and Toro irrigation to the GCMA conference in November. REESINK RECRUITS ROCHELLE Rochelle Bedford has been appointed marketing manager for Reesink in the UK. Overseeing marketing activity for all the brands in the Reesink portfolio, Rochelle says it was Reesink’s established reputation, values, great work ethic and ideas sharing culture that appealed to her most about the role as well as working in a new and interesting industry. Reesink hat-trick at Leeds United “We already had two Toro Reelmaster 3100-D machines cutting across the academy and training grounds and we just couldn’t fault them, so we bought another three last year,” he says. “Easy to operate, innovative and efficient, we can get any job we need doing done quickly but that doesn’t mean we’re cutting corners; the quality of cut is still fantastic.” Also delivering an improvement to the playing surface at Elland Road is Toro irrigation courtesy of Lynx central control system and Infinity and TS90 sprinklers. And now, only a year later, Thorp Arch is getting the Toro irrigation treatment too. “I always held the long-term view that the Lynx system in conjunction with Toro sprinklers would improve playability of the pitch, and that’s exactly what we’ve seen. The precise monitoring and water control the combination has brought is fantastic.” And finally, having been using TYM at its training grounds since 2017, the club has now chosen the tractor brand for the stadium too. Kiel says: “Thanks to the range of tractors available, we’ve found models to suit the surfaces at both the stadium and the training grounds which are very different despite being the same length and width.” And of course the one thing all three have in common is Reesink, about which Kiel says: “The products, back-up and service from Reesink are excellent. But it’s as much down to the people we work with that has seen us maintain such a positive relationship over the years.” Read Newslines online at reesinkturfcare.co.uk Reesink Turfcare UK Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority Designed and produced by OneAgency.co From left to right: Reesink’s Steven Haynes, head groundsman Kiel Barrett, Reesink’s Mike Turnbull and Russell’s Groundcare’s Ian Waddington.
